Professor Denizar Blitzkow

 

He holds a bachelor's degree in Mathematics (1970), a Master's degree in Geodetic Sciences (1973) from the Federal University of Paraná and a PhD in Geophysics from the University of São Paulo (1986).

​

 

In 2012, he retired from his post as a full professor in the Department of Transport Engineering at the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo, but continues to teach and develop research as a visiting professor.

​

 

He has experience in Geosciences, with emphasis on Geodesy, working mainly on the following topics: geoid, gravimetry, satellite positioning, Cartesian references and altitude systems.

Professor Edvaldo Simões da Fonseca Junior

 

He holds a degree in Cartographic Engineering from the University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (1985), a Master's Degree in Transport Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (1996) and a PhD in Transportation Engineering from the University of Nottingham Polytechnic at USP (2002), with an internship at the University of Calgary - Canada (1999-2000).

​

 

He is currently a Ph.D. 2 professor in the Department of Transport Engineering at the Polytechnic School of USP. In the area of ​​research, he has extensive experience in the area of ​​Geodesy, working mainly in the following subjects: GNSS, positioning by satellites, geodetic networks, stations of continuous monitoring, autonomous navigation, vehicle control and monitoring of structures with geodetic instruments.

 

Participates in the orientation of doctoral students, master's degree, scientific initiation and also guides high school students of public schools in a project of Pre-Scientific Initiation. In the area of ​​education has sought to adopt modern teaching techniques to deal with the needs of new students. Develops, along with the discipline monitors, the improvement and modernization of the lesson material and the conversion of the handouts to the digital format adapted for tablets.

​

 

In the extension area he coordinates a project that aims to recover and enhance the technical collection of topography and geodesy of the LTG - Topography and Geodesy Laboratory of the Polytechnic School of USP. The project aims to identify, describe, catalog, maintain and recover the equipment that is part of the collection so that they can tell the history of the laboratory and the Polytechnic School itself. Part of the collection will be used in a timely manner to spark interest in the sciences and engineering of students at different levels of training.

Professor Jorge Pimentel Cintra

 

He holds a Doctorate (1985) in Civil Engineering and Urbanism from the University of São Paulo. He is currently a Full Professor in the Area of ​​Spatial Information (Topography, Geodesy and Cartography) at the Polytechnic School of USP.

​

Deputy Chief of the Department of Transport Engineering - EPUSP * Acts in the following areas: History of cartography in Brazil, Digital cartography, Digital modeling of terrains, Quality in cartography. Associate editor of the Bulletin of Geodetic Sciences and the Brazilian Journal of Cartography.

​

Member and Director of the Historical and Geographical Institute of São Paulo (IHGSP). He was awarded the Cartographic Merit Medal of the Brazilian Society of Cartography and the IHGSP Centennial and Necklace.

​

Coordinates the following projects:

​

1. Cartography of the Hereditary Captaincies.

2. Videography applied to the survey of reservoirs of hydroelectric plants *


Recent coordination of the following Projects:

​

1. Historical mapping of the Amazon River (CNPq, PRCEU).

2.Geovisualization applied to the survey of road signs (FAPESP). (CESP / ANEEL).

3. History and documentary memory of the Polytechnic School (PRCEU).

Professor Flavio Guilherme Vaz de Almeida Filho

 

Full-time PhD student 1 (MS-3.1) in the Area of ​​Space Information / Geodesy in the Department of Transport Engineering (PTR) of the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo - EPUSP.

​

​

 

He worked as a postdoctoral researcher at CISLog - Center for Innovation in Logistics Systems - Engineering of Logistic Systems of the Polytechnic School of USP, developing research on energy (fuel) consumed in Brazilian cargo transportation systems aimed at reducing emissions of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions on intermodal routes.

​


He holds a bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of São Paulo (1994), a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering / Telecommunications from Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie (2000), and a Ph.D. in Transport Engineering - Space Information - from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo Ph.D. in Océan, Atmosphère et Surfaces Continentales by Université Paul Sabatier - Toulouse III (UT3) - France.

​


He concluded his PhD co-tutela in July 2009 obtaining the title in both universities. He acted as professor and Coordinator of the Undergraduate Course in Computer Science at Centro Universitário São Camilo for over 10 years.

​


His areas of expertise are: Transport Engineering, Geodesy and Satellite Positioning Systems (GNSS), Telecommunications and Computer Networks

Professor Cleyton de Carvalho Carneiro

 

Cleyton Carneiro obtained the title of Technician in Geomatics with emphasis in Remote Sensing by the Federal Center of Technological Education of Pará - CEFET-PA (2002).

​

​

 

He graduated in Geology from the Federal University of Pará - UFPA (2003). He graduated in Geosciences in the area of ​​Metalogenesis by the State University of Campinas - UNICAMP (2005).

​

 

He completed his PhD in Geology and Natural Resources at the Institute of Geosciences of UNICAMP (2010), including a supervised period at the Australian Commonwealth Scientific and Research Organization (CSIRO) in Brisbane, Australia (2009).

​

​

 

He completed his postdoctoral fellowship at the Institute of Geosciences of USP (2014), including a period as Visiting Scientist at the U.S. Geological Survey - USGS (2013) in Denver, USA.

 

During the postdoctoral development, he was a Collaborating Researcher in the Department of Geology and Natural Resources of the Institute of Geosciences of UNICAMP.

​

 

He is currently Professor PhD 1 of the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo - USP. He works in the area of ​​Spatial Information and Geotechnology, including in his research exploratory analysis and spatial data modeling, as well as the processing and interpretation of remote sensing images and aerogeophysical data.

​
